“Thermostat on room wall did nothing. Found out the AC had to be controlled at the cooling unit itself. Rooms are showing their age. Large piece of baseboard was coming off the wall by the coat closet. Found trash in drawer of bedside table. Nothing really significant, but enough to make us look for other places to stay.”

“Very dated in all ways. We had a room without a pullout couch. There were no pillows in the room for the bed. We went to the front desk and asked to which they replied..."we don't have pillows" How is that possible? When we used the pool on Saturday no one had been in to clean since the night before. A entire basket full of dirty towels, pool was dirty, and random items in the pool (floaties) trash on all the tables. When we went to ask for towels for the pool. They also said they didn't have...

“Very clean and roomy new cottage, king bed, fun Rte 66 decor, equipped kitchen, easy parking, one block off main st, excellent Mexican restaurant a block away.”

“Kitchen adequately stocked, has a Keurig-style coffee pot; no dishwasher but supplies to wash anything you use. Thermostat works well, comfortable temperature maintained, Bedrooms upstairs with full bath, half-bath downstairs, nicely decorated. Small deck in back with grill and chairs”

“What a peaceful welcoming place to call home base while we explored the area. Galena has fun with their piece of Kansas Rte 66 history, and the part they played in the movie "Cars".Our hosts provided information on things to do and a clean, comfortable experience. We'd like to visit again to see what's next for the Mother Road in Galena! Would definitely hope to stay here again!”
